Look what some of our earlier guests say about our adventures.
Christian, our guide, was wonderful, explaining how to drive the sled and about the necessary safety measures. He picked us up at the info center in Geilo, drove us out to a secluded base camp (a heated teepee), and supplied us with everything we needed to keep warm. Two people are on each sled pulled by 6 dogs. For the first half, I was the passenger, wrapped up snug and warm under a reindeer pelt. The second half I got to drive the sled. We crossed two lakes and the scenery was breathtaking. The dogs were well-cared for and were so eager to run! There were only 3 of us on the excursion with Christian. Fagerlund Husky is more expensive then the larger tours because of the small groups - and this is well worth it! Book early! An experience I will remember for ever.

If you are vacationing in Norway and you want to have an authentic Norwegian winter experience, seriously consider a dog sledding adventure with Fagerlund Husky in Geilo, Norway. Having just returned from a nine-day adventure in Norway, my number one experience was definitely dog sledding. Fagerlund Husky is a three-generation family owned business, and they provide an excellent adventure. We were met at the train station in Geilo, and the seven members of our family were transported by car to a frozen lake in the wilderness area. There, the sledding team helped us dress warmly in suits, boots, gloves, goggles, and whatever else we needed to assure warmth on the trip. After that, instructions were given to the members of our family who wanted to drive the sleds. Each sled accommodated a driver and a passenger. After all this preparation, we were ready to go on a memory making trip across the frozen lake. Since I had recently broken my arm, Kristian, a member of the sledding team drove me, and I felt completely safe and at the same time, I experienced the thrill of sledding across the ice with the Alaskan huskies eagerly running.
I would highly recommend this family business for an outstanding experience. The family members were knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and courteous. They offer short trips, day trips, and even lunch in the wild. If you want to have a memorable adventure, take a good look at a dog sledding adventure with this family business. You can’t go wrong!

Wonderful experience in beautiful nature with lovely dogs!
It was really awesome! There's really no one else besides you, the dogs and the really kind mushers.
One of us forgot ski trousers, luckily they have warm suits, you really need to dress warm ;)!
It's cool to ride the dogs and sitting in the seld itself. The dogs are so excited to run! Afterwards we got a nice warm drink and snack and we could cuddle te dogs, wich they love. Fagerlund only goes in small groups wich makes the experience even nicer. They take good care of the dogs and love to answer your questions about dog sledding. A must do if you're in Geilo!
